Telstra Home Phone call rate changes

Telstra Home Phone call rate changes

Postby Telstra Monopoly » Mon Nov 08, 2010 4:06 pm

I've noticed in the mail that Telstra are increasing their call rates on their Home lines, instead of decreasing them.

Good luck Telstra... another nail in their coffin :(|)

Yep I sure do agree with you there Chris

Just for your (& others interest) I am loving my slow race to the bottom cost of home Telstra bill

This is in main due to such reliable internet service (of course not BIGPONG)!

And our wonderfull little VOIP telephony setup (it will have paid for itself in the next five T$ bills - per quarterly billing cycle)

Hope you like this;

copied and pasted from OLB logon

Accounts & Services Charges Until Price $ Account Price $
10 Oct 0.300
Home/Business 07 49XX XXXX 0.300
Total $0.300

that's three zero, thirty cents to three decimal places & counting =))

Cheers
Claudekrowe

PS I think I am going to be really sick of the new Telstra Santa Ads on the telly by this Christmas, I can not get over the hide of the silly jerk(s) that had anything to do with these ads!

Just when all of us here in this forum thought that Telstra's Billing incompetance could not go much lower, this story plumbs new depths of incompetance and it just shows that they can NOT fulfill decent customer service any more. Gosh we have to get rid of them from this space ... sooner the better!

Link to story "Telstra Bills dead woman for $9 etc" from the NT news;
http://www.ntnews.com.au/article/2011/0 ... tnews.html

they really need to get out of the way and let someone who can get results in customer service deliver the retail part of the business, Tel$tra have been hopeless at this for many many years and they do not look like making much difference in this space anytime soon!! :(

ACCC strikes another pecuniary blow at Tel$tra to help save the poor old customer!

The Aus Competition Consumer Comm, had ruled that the wholesale line rental charge needs to be lowered

Nice one ACCC, there is also some blocking legislation enabling a prevention of them running off to the High Court jingling there Billions in hoarded cash and crying wolf.

The full article can be read here; http://www.smh.com.au/technology/techno ... 1bgmb.html

Notable clipping from article (lower half) Ya GOTTA LOVE THIS!
Telstra must now lower its monthly wholesale line rental to a flat national fee of $22.10 from $25.57 for homes and $26.93 for businesses. Wholesale customers are expected to use these new prices to negotiate for deals. This will also push down retail line-rental prices, according to RBS analyst Ian Martin.

"It will lower their revenue by the order of $100 million to $200 million, depending on [whether it is] pass[ed] through to retail," he said.

Originally the ACCC had proposed a flat wholesale fee of $20. The increase to $22.10 could add as much as 5¢ to analysts' target share price.

Revenue from the copper network was already forecast to fall by 8 per cent this year and next. The new prices will accelerate and increase that decline.

The report was released after the close of trading. Telstra shares closed 1¢ lower at $2.78.

After having missed the deadline for a shareholder vote 1 July, the market sentiment turned negative again. T shares trading in the doldrums $2.65 point.

Keep chowing down the brown stuff ... :ymsick:

And now they do not know for sure if they will pass on the Carbon Tax surcharge or Not! So it can be called Helstra Electricity Tax - A HEX put on customers :))

Get out more cash people, Telstra are looking for all ways to milk their customers before the stiff winds of real competition finally whack them straight in their prudish faces!
