Investigation ordered into Wholesale ADSL

Investigation ordered into Wholesale ADSL

Postby Claudekrowe » Sat Dec 10, 2011 8:45 pm

Finally Rod Sims gets keen to sort out crazy Wholesale ADSL, make the Competitive Carriers Coalition pleased.

Now the teeth of competition legislation needs to deliver the levelling of the playing field!

Watching with interest as we are customers that stand to be helped by some positive impacts to pricing

Goodness we have had to be patient ... i-)

With February (ACCC notified Month of action on Wholesale ADSL plans) fast arriving T$ now begins to muck rake and play dirty games

The Hel$tra spokespersons comments are patronising to the extreme ... judge for yourself [-(

Finally, one gem of news for Aussie telco consumers, as large corporation (telstra) is told by our Aus Competition Commission to lower the rate it charges for wholesale ADSL line access.

Simon Hackett has confirmed the interim undertaking should begin to flow on into better pricing POST 1 May '12

A win for particularly regional fixed line services! :)

Hah, I may have been too quick to type this!

Telstra now showing its ugly underbelly in this article from Business Spectator;

http://www.businessspectator.com.au/bs. ... 0405-T3253

What looks nasty pastie is this bit

Telstra has asked the watchdog to vary the final access determinations (FADs) of its declared wholesale line rental, local carriage and preselect and override services. X(

They are trying to wriggle out on legalities and further delay this rotten price squeeze

In this case, let us hope the watchdog stays strong for the Aussie consumer public!!
