Telstra trying to lure you to online billing

Your chance to WIN a smartphone of your choice.

Account Number: 20001xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Dear Chris,

Choosing to receive and pay your bill online is a smart way to stay in control and take care of your Telstra bills, quickly and efficiently.

Both statements above are absolutely incorrect in my experience

And now there are more reasons to do so.

When you complete a quick entry form and then sign up to receive your Telstra bill by email or pay a Telstra bill in full online, you'll go in the draw to win a smartphone up to the value of $912. Winners will be able to choose which phone they want from a select range of our best selling devices. There'll be one lucky winner for each day until 6 March 2012.

That's 100 smartphones in 100 days up for grabs!

So don't delay. The sooner you get online and enter, the more chances you'll have to win.

ENTER NOW

Why switching to Email Bill makes sense

Say goodbye to paper bills. Email Bill is the easy way to receive your Telstra bill. It's just like a paper bill, but sent to your email inbox as a PDF file - so you can access it on the go. See a sample Email Bill.

Flexible options for paying online

Choose how much and when you want to pay from your cheque, savings or credit card¹. Or register for Direct Debit to make one-off, fixed or automatic deductions from your bank account or credit card¹. It's the quick, secure, easy way to pay.

See you online soon, and good luck!

My Account broken - Perhaps something associated to the Hack attack of Gamearena for a day or two ago

The bill history (seems to only look back as far as the prev 12 months, so with us on per quarter only see three there at any one time) appears to work most times now. We are all on Firefox, even the Galaxy S3's, for our browser! The bill history can be expanded to a summary screen.

With the beauty of VOIP there are always the same entries on each bill and they vary by cents!

Work has steered us to Chrome, which I also like. Firefox all the way at home though!

Going through my office recently - found a really old Telstra bill which was just south of $400.00

Gone are the BIG Telstra Taxes, courtesy of VOIP and in not too distant future I am hoping to never ever sight another Telstra BILL in our mail box - EVER *-:)

Not too certain how long it has been out, but the My Account has been worked on and I have to admit it is pretty damn good!

I tried going into history (which always had issues in the past) and it seemed to work fine (D-load a PDF bill)

The new screen area is divided into three sections; Plans & Usage, Bills & Payments & a Personal Profile

It is indeed much better than past awful iterations of My Account

Said through gritted Teeth - "WELL DONE TELSTRA" :D

Footnote: Clicking on Payment Details -> Took me into the crappy old pages! Probably needs bit more work but like the way it looks so far! :)

I read these developments and weep for other customers putting up with Telstra's Billing Cr@pola!

Now the latest little Fraud they are attempting is FORCING of electronic billing via a "COURTESY switch over" This dodgy Telco are running a little SCAM that runs electronic bill in PARALLEL to paper for a few months BUT the catch is the customer MUST OPT OUT of the electronic billing by filling in an online Form!

They continue to stoop to new lows of morals and bad treatment of their customers :-q

So pleased we no longer have to deal with these Sharlatans! #:-s
