This is exactly the by-product of the Telstra devised Wholesale Price Squeeze where the Zone 2-3 prices are charged are beyond a joke. Once the Wholesale price table is finalised via ACCC action, we can all go back to sensible prices :D

There are many threads and posts in Whirlpool dot net au about this actual item (including informative posts submitted by the CEO himself)

Yeh Chris, sure I know that we pay a bit more than Bigpong! (Once ACCC declares the Wholesale l-R we should be better off)

At least we have a reliable connection, since March 2006 I have NEVER been off for a whole day - EVER, sure a few hours at a time once or twice, really is a very solid service in our experience

That is Internode reliability for you, as long as the status quo remains, there is no reason for us to look at other ISPs!

My tip is we should see an announcement (& possibly plan changes) on Tuesday 3rd July B-)

(iiNode seem to favour Tuesdays)

PS A 30Gb plan would suit us perfect at present!

With the kids hammering Youtube, we actually used close to 40 Gig any way

Won't be long before we are looking at a larger quota :-o

Should be some Zone 2 3 price relief from the ACCC final declaration before then (emphasis on SHOULD)! :!!

BREAKING - Simon Hackett has just posted in Whirlpool that Z23 Easy Reach customers can have rescue on ADSL price squeeze by piggy backing off iiNet TW pricing!! Woo Hoo

update all later ...

Part of Simon Hacketts post on Whirlpool :ymhug:

Well, just to reward that checking process with one tidbit ahead of the weekend:

We have the incremental change in Easy Reach sorted out in terms of content, and we're working on deployment.

Because we have another one or two things in the pipeline ahead of it, it won't be out instantly.

For guidance, I can tell you that we believe the Easy Reach plan revision I'm referring to here should be out there in the mid-to-late November 2012 timeframe

First week of December, fabulous news for many Zone 2 or Zone 3 copper refugees by Internode;

Entry level (equates to 5 Gig SMALL plan at Bigpond) now three time Telstra's meagre 5 at 15 Gig and if you agree to bundle your landline well you will get it for $39.95!

SWEET - Just signed our household landline onto Internodes NEW BUNDLE 60 Gig which is just perfect for us! Should be all done in approx 4 to 5 business days! (actually happened in TWO days :) )

49.95 (saves us $20 per month - But, have to bundle landline) :x

Internode - iiNet have stitched up New w-s deals and I was so glad that we waited it out ...

AND - NO MORE TELSTRA BILLS FOR LIFE! :))

=))

Bonus :-!

Plans updated - read here; http://www.internode.on.net/residential ... asy_reach/

Prices of the plans now so more competitive, but another HUGE thing in the favour of Easy Reach Internode ADSL plans - NO Throttling whatsoever.

Customers of Internode ADSL Easy Reach can use their bandwidth for their own choosing, not Deep Packet Inpector Morse from Tel$traVille poring over your digital packets with their crummy sniffer

I know which ISP I prefer and that is anything that AIN'T Bigpond (T$) #:-s
